We evaluated The Rural We – a proposed national network to provide a sustainable cultural network for remote and rural localities, initially engaging with 12 organisations across Scotland, co-ordinated by the University.
Using the research outcomes we established a process and content to examine the impact the network has on the individual organisations and the impact it can achieve collectively. The framework takes into consideration network health, connectivity and outcomes. We gathered baseline data to inform staged surveys at the project mid-point and then a final iteration after the last networking session.
Findings, combined with a focus group at the end of the project illustrates their progress, value and priorities for providing great arts experiences in the rural communities of Scotland.
